Description

Together, participants will work to see the risk management implications of specific situations and choices, scrutinize options for resolution, and foster a tolerance for ambiguity and the understanding that there may be no single ideal solution to each challenge. We will also discuss strategies for effective risk management and good patient care when regulations and requirements are unclear.

Learning Objectives

  1. Apply current APA Ethical Principles and Standards to real-life scenarios.
  2. Identity at least three risk management strategies.
  3. Describe specific dilemmas that are arising in professional practice and analyze the relevant legal, ethical, clinical, and risk management components.
  4. Identify key risk management considerations related to responding to subpoenas and requests for test materials, as well as risk management considerations in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy and impacts of the Public Health Emergency expiration on clinical practice.
